Vinification	The wine ferments at 30°C in concrete tanks, letting the heat draw out every drop of color and character. Afterward, it settles into large wooden casks, where time smooths its edges and deepens its most seductive curves.
Notes de dégustation	In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dark ruby, first flashing violet like a glint in the eye, then softening into a more mature, granate glow. It looks intense because it is. The nose opens layer by layer: violet, soft and teasing, a touch of dark chocolate, rich and tempting, licorice, adding something a little wicked. It’s not a wine that shouts — it leans in and whispers. On the palate, Lagrein Riserva is velvety, warm, and mouth-coating, with that faint, deliberate bitterness that keeps you wanting more. In the heat of the Bolzano basin, its tannins take on a special character — always sweet, never harsh, like a firm hand that still knows how to be gentle.

The Lagrein is one of South Tyrol’s oldest and most deeply rooted grapes — a native variety with a long, mysterious past. For centuries it was mostly crafted as a rosé, but from the 1980s onward, the darker, deeper expression — Lagrein Dunkel — began to take center stage. And the Riserva… that’s where the grape shows its most seductive, full-bodied side.

A Lagrein Riserva is not shy.
It pours into the glass in a dark, velvety purple, the kind of color that hints at intensity before you even take a sip. On the nose, it opens slowly, deliberately, with ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and a whisper of violet, followed by hints of cocoa, licorice, and warm spices that feel almost intimate.
